11 Afghan policemen killed in Taliban attack in Helmand

HELMAND: As many as 11 police officers were killed after Taliban fighters attacked their check-posts in Helmand province of Afghanistan on Sunday.

The Taliban claimed the responsibility of the attack and adding that they attacked two police post in Lashkargah area of Helmand in which 11 police officials were killed.

Governor Helmand told International News Agency that Taliban fighter attacked on check posts and killed 11 Afghan police officials but in response police also fight bravely and killed 15 attackers and the remaining managed to escape from the scene.
