KARACHI: Seven month old Afghan baby living in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi was reported as polio affected.
The child belongs to an Afghan family and this is the first polio case surface in Karachi since January 2016.
Sindh’s Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) for Polio showed disappointment and adding that the family had refused to give polio drops to his son on several occasions. They added that if they allowed him then may be the child would have been saved from the crippling disease.
MAKKAH: More than two million of Muslim pilgrims offered Eid-ul-Azha prayers at the grand mosque in Makkah, Masjid-ul-Haram and also in Masjid-i-Nabwi in Saudi Arabia early Friday morning.
The pilgrims will move to mina after the prayers and before the sacrificing animals they will perform ritual of stoning the devil.
Apart from Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Azha is also celebrating in different parts of the world including Arab states, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Europe, America and Afghanistan.
MOHMAND AGENCY: Political administration has confirmed that at least three persons were died including a father and son and two other were injured in a mine blast in the Shati Mina area of Tehsil Ambar.
In February, at least five people, including three security forces personnel were martyred, while many others were injured when a suicide bomber blew himself at the main gate of Ghalanai headquarters.
ISPR had said that the suicide bombers were came on a motorcycle bike and one blew himself up while the other was killed by firing of security forces.
A school teacher and a passerby where also killed in the suicide attack.
