ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani agreed to work together against the menace of terrorism but also to meet the challenge of energy in the region; it was the telephonic contact between the two leaders on Monday.
President Ashraf Ghani phoned PM Abbasi and congratulated him on his election as the new prime minister of Pakistan said by PM office statement.
President Ghani expressed pleasure over the smooth transition of power within the parliament and adding that it is a good sign for democracy in Pakistan.
It added that the Afghan leader expressed satisfaction over the smooth transition and said that it was good for democracy in Pakistan. PM Abbasi thanked the President Ghani and said that terrorism is the common enemy of both the neighboring countries and now it is become biggest threat for our survival and development.
Both the leaders agreed on the cooperation in eliminating the menace of terrorism from the region and also join hands to fulfill the energy requirements in the region.
