Admin fixes LPG price at Rs120 per kg

TIMERGARA: The Adenzai administration warned Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders’ sellers to follow strictly official rate of Rs 120 per kg.

The additional assistant commissioner Aleem Khan Umarzai while chairing a meeting of management of Osakai gas plant and LPG dealers at his office warned to take action against the dealers selling LPG above Rs 120 per kg. The dealers informed him that LPG was being sold on Rs 137 in Swat and Buner districts.

The AAC after calculating fare and expenses fixed Rs 120 per kg rate and asked the dealers to strictly follow it. He said that LPG dealers had been informed that the administration would send the violators to jail if they were found overcharging commuters. He said the 120 rupees also included all expenses of the dealers and they would not be allowed to charge more than 120 per kg of LPG in the jurisdiction of Adenzai tehsil.

The Lower Dir administration on Wednesday issued warning to roadsides’ encroachers to clear roads voluntarily otherwise the violators would face action. The acting deputy commissioner Muhammad Irshad along with district nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan, Timergara tehsil nazim Riaz Muhammad and other officials examined encroachments from Timergara Jail chowk to Gorgorai Chowk and expressed anger and dissatisfaction on roadsides’ encroachment. He asked the violators to remove all kinds of encroachment from the road’s limit within 12 hours. The administration also draw a red line demarking roads’ limits on the occasion and warned the violators would be sent to jail if they failed to clear the roads within the estimated time.

Talking to local journalists the acting deputy commissioner Muhammad Irshad said the administration was starting crackdowns against the encroachers in the district. He also expressed dissatisfaction on huge traffic mess in Timergara city and directed the traffic police to take appropriate steps for keeping smooth the traffic flow at all bazaars.
