KABUL: The Afghan government has appreciated the airstrikes which was jointly conducted by Afghan and US against the Taliban drug labs in Helmand province of Afghanistan and adding that it is the government top priority to dry the financial resources of the Taliban group.
The President office issued a statement in this regard and it added that it very important to take strict action against the organized crimes and drug production in the country as it the biggest source of income of the terrorists groups and by drying the resources of financial it will realy help to ensure the peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The statement added that terrorist groups gaining profit from drugs production and smuggling and it plays a major role in promoting the insurgency in the country and therefore the government has taken decided to strictly fight the menace posed illicit drugs.
It claimed that at least eight drug production process centers have been destroyed during first phase of action and it will be continue till the end of drug production in the country and close the doors of income on the terrorist group.
It further added that drugs production and smuggling has affected millions of people while a large number of Afghan youths are being threatened by its menace, insisting that the fight against drugs remains a top priority and strategic goal of the Afghan government.
