Ansari promises to take measures to improve textile sector

FAISALABAD: State Minister for Commerce and Textile, Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari has said that short and long strategies would be developed to improve the textile sector and asked the stakeholders to submit their suggestions in this regard within a week.

Ansari said this while addressing to a function at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI). He added that textile sector were confronting problems of high markup, power and natural gas load shedding and PML-N government solved these problems but some problems were surfaced and disturbing textile sector including high cost of business and delay in payment of refunds claims.

Ansari said that being an elected member, he always advocating for the right of textile sector but now the responsibility of the textile sector was handed over him and he is sincerely working for the betterment of the textile sector.

Minister directed the FCCI President Muhammad Saeed to form a committee and took suggestions from all stakeholders and submit a proposal in this regard which would be presented to Prime Minsiter Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
