Arrested Saudi royals await their fate in a luxury prison

RIYADH: The arrested 11 Saudi princes and ministers were sleeping on the floor of their luxury five star prison and waiting for their fate after they were arrested in the biggest anti-corruption purge in the Saudi Arabia modern history.

The international newspaper reported along with picture, in which the men were seen sleeping on the thin mattresses and wrapped in the blankets at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Saudi Arabia capital.

In the arrested men and sleeping on the floor which is seen in picture are billionaire investor Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and who is also a nephew of the king. Prince Al-Waleed has worth an estimated $18 billion and owns stakes in Twitter and Citigroup.

The arrested princes and businessmen have been locked in the five star hotel as the crackdown was started against the corrupt officials on the direction of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

The picture shows their sleeping arrangements are far from luxurious and they are sleeping on the floor of one of the grand function rooms which last month hosted the Future Investment Conference.
