Asfandyar challenges Imran to prove corruption allegations against him

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party President Asfandyar Wali Khan challenged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan to prove corruption allegations against him.

While addressing a rally in Peshawar on Sunday, Asfandyar remarked that Imran Khan levelled corruption allegations against him.

“If Imran has strength and honour, then he should try presenting me in front of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s accountability commission,” he said.

Decency in politics ended the day Imran Khan decided to become a politician, he claimed. “Imran is not a non-political person. No political person would ever use the words that Imran does.”

“Imran does not know how to speak properly,” he added.

Asfandyar was not the only politician to criticise Imran. State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb also lashed out at the PTI chief for speaking against Pakistan Muslim League-Head Nawaz Sharif.

Marriyum said that Imran Khan has become a hurdle in country’s progress.

Marriyum, in a statement on Sunday, rejected Imran’s speech at PTI’s workers’ convention centre held earlier in the day. “Imran is just making noise to dupe people.” In his ambition for power, Imran doesn’t even care about the country’s progress, she pointed out.

People of Pakistan are aware of Imran’s tactics now, she said. “Imran has turned politics into an abuse.” “As general elections are coming close, Imran Khan is getting scared of Maryam Nawaz’s shadow too.”
