Bara Tehsil reopens after 12 years

BARA: After remained shut for 12 years, Bara Tehsil was resumed for executing official works here on Tuesday. In this connection a simple gathering was initiated in Tehsil Bara that was attended by Assistant Political Agent (APA) Bara Ismatullah Wazir as chief guest beside numbers of tribal elders and administration officials.

APA cut the ribbon to formally recommence the Tehsil for all kind of concerned activities. Speaking on the occasion APA Ismatullah Wazir said opening ceremony of the Tehsil proved that peace had been restored in Bara and soon including NADRA center, all offices of concerned departments that had been shifted to safer places during militancy would be replaced in their original avenues in Bara.

He maintained that earlier Bara bazaar had been resumed for business activities and in near future routine life doings would restore in Bara. Tribesmen of Bara expressed their delight over resumption of Tehsil and said with the reopening of it their grievances would be addressed locally and they would not go to Levies center, Jamrud for resolving of their problems. It is to be mentioned here that Tehsil Bara was dislocated to Levies center, Jamrud due to militancy.
