PESHAWAR: Former Managing Director of Bank of Khyber (BoK), Shamsul Qayyum challenged his termination order in Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Friday.
Qayyum in is petition said that his termination order which was issued by KP Finance Department was illegal and Provincial finance minister and secretary finance were accused for it. The applicant said that government should extent his services to two more years as he perform exceptionally well as the MD of BoK.
On Wednesday the provincial government decided to remove from him from his post in the cabinet meeting and on Thursday he was informed through notice that he was fired from his post as he violated his appointment contract by publishing add and leveling baseless allegations against the finance minister in the local newspapers.
