DI Khan incident inhuman, immoral and barbaric: Ayesha

TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami woman MNA on reserved seat Ayesha Syed on Sunday condemned the DI Khan incident and termed it inhuman, immoral and barbarity. Talking to reporter here during her visit to the district she demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and higher authorities of police department to immediately arrest the accused and influential behind them involved in the shocking act. A teenage girl was forced by armed accused to walk naked through the village streets in DI Khan some two weeks ago.

The MNA Aiyesha Syed said that neither the religion Islam nor the Pukhtun norms and traditions permitted such inhuman and immoral acts where an innocent girl was forced to walk nude. She said that media reports and some informed sources suggested that influential politicians had hands in gloves which were shameful.

“Being a woman lawmaker I strongly condemn this incident and want speedy trial and arrest of all involved in it,” she said, adding it was the responsibility of the PTI led government in the province to arrest the culprits and charge them under the terrorism laws for exemplary so that no one in future could even think about such crime in Pukhtun society. The MNA also appealed to chief justice of Pakistan to take suo muto notice of the incident.
