Eurasia? Or the Atlantic? Choose one of the blocs

Kemal Ozturk

It would have been easier in the past. You would choose either the East bloc or the West bloc, and your side would be clear. It is a bipolar world, as the name suggests. You would choose one of the two and become a “pole star.” Since Turkey is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) since 1952, it has chosen its side (the name “Atlantic bloc” comes from the expansion of the NATO abbreviation).

Minds are now confused. People are unable to decide where we stand, where we belong. I will give you the simplest explanation and then you decide. The East bloc revised its name as the “Eurasia pact” (also known as the Shanghai Five: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan). The West bloc is also more commonly referred to as the “Atlantic pact.” It is known as the US-U.K.-Israel-EU alliance.

This is how the Eurasia and Atlantic blocs are known, but once you become a little involved, you understand that it is not as it seems. That is when you become quite confused.

What fights are going on in which bloc? The U.K., which is a member of the Atlantic pact, left the EU. It dealt such a blow as it was leaving that the European Union is still struggling to recover. This is why Germany and the U.K. have the worst of relations since World War II. They strike one another whenever and wherever they find the opportunity. The U.K. turns whoever it finds within the EU against Germany, whether it be Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, et cetera. The saying that “Germany is exploiting the EU” is about to become a British proverb.

Aren’t the US and U.K actually historic allies? Not anymore. The U.K. started to flirt with China, causing the US to boil with rage. The U.K.’s satellite has settled over Qatar (via Saudi Arabia’s mediation), and it even racketeered ($11 billion) already. As for the U.K., it fuels anti-Trump sentiments almost daily. It has also started to work closely with Turkey (perhaps relations between the two countries have never before been as bright, especially in the area of intelligence).

US ties with Germany and France are also in a fallout. US courts are constantly fining the institutions of both countries. The “US deep state” (very cool words) wants the EU to collapse and the ground to crack open and swallow NATO, but it is not saying anything for now as it is busy with China. The US has recently launched a new operation with Saudi Arabia, Israel and Egypt, which further escalated tensions. The U.K and France are furious, but they are not strong enough to stand up against the US Poor things, they are trying to trip it over. This is the reason behind BBC announcing to the world that the US’s new toy, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) is in cooperation with Daesh. As you can see, the members of the Atlantic pact are all against each other. It’s like a hotbed. What difference would it make whether we stayed in this pact or left?

What is the state of communist brothers in Eurasia? This is the state of the Atlantic pact; but what about Eurasia, is it all fun and games? Frankly, Russia and China are the worst enemy brothers in history. For one, they hate each other ideologically. It is chronic discord. However, they are obliged to cooperate to balance the US

Through Iran and Syria in the Middle East, Russia has settled down in the Mediterranean. China is unhappy about this. But China has settled down in almost the entire world. It is consuming underground riches, energy, like a giant. Like the world, Russia is also unhappy with this. It believes China has excessively spoiled North Korea and the nuclear weapons it supplied to the country – like they were toys – are going to cause it trouble. After all, Russia and North Korea are bordering countries.

Chinese President Xi Jinping (the name isn’t as cool as Mao, admit it), who has become the greatest legend after Mao, is extremely unhappy with Russian President Vladimir Putin being “bosom buddies” with US President Donald Trump. He never used to smile, now his face is in a complete frown. He believes the US and Russia are going to join powers and destroy his country. Let alone believe, US think-tanks openly write this. This is why China is at loggerheads with Russia. It says, “What they are doing is unseemly of Communism.”

On a different note, I am not even touching on all members being regimes that have no clue about notions such as human rights, democracy, public will, law, religious freedom, freedom of thought. Now, whoever wants to join the Eurasia bloc may do so. Both blocs are miserable; what are we doing? As you can understand, the world is in a miserable state. Blocs are shattering, they have all turned into bombs ready to explode. Some are trying to keep us within the Atlantic bloc, and some are trying to make us join the Eurasia bloc. I laugh at both.

The countries we call allies double-crossed us countless times. How quick are we to forget the things the Eurasia bloc did? They crushed our tomatoes, made our chickens useless. That’s how ruthless they are. Turkey had to produce an alternative axis itself. This was what we actually dreamed of when setting off on the path. But we didn’t have enough strength. By the time we understood we didn’t have enough power, it already was too late. Do you understand now why we were beaten? The situation is clear, now you decide which you will join.
