FAISALABAD (Monitoring Desk): Employees in the city recorded strong protest against Punjab government’s expected decision to privatise the government hospitals.

They closed down the OPDs at Allied Hospital, FIC and General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad. The protestors said on the occasion that privatisation could not be accepted under any condition as it would only increase unemployment further.

They said that the protest will continue unless the decision is reversed.

On the other hand, patients suffered as the OPDs were closed and they couldn’t obtain their medicines. The protestors also held a rally to Chenab Chowk.
