KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Farooq Sattar showed displeasure over the poor performance of the local government and criticize his own party Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar for failing in delivering in the better interest of the Karchities.
Farooq Sattar chaired a session of local government officials which was organized by MQM-P and they reviewed the government’s performance.
Farooq Sattar demanding report from the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and district chairman regarding the performance of district government. MQM-P chief warned Mayor Karachi to improve their performance as he was becoming embarrassment for the party.
While asking about the performance of district government, words were exchange between Kamran Tessori and Waseem Akhtar.
Earlier, the media reported that party was reviewing the local government system and was disappointed over the handling of post rain situation in the Karachi. The party leadership had also sought reports on the performance of all districts.
The party was holding discussions for new names for the offices of mayor, deputy mayor, chairman and vice-chairman.
