FC recovers 18 abductees including foreigners during search operation in Turbat

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) recovered 18 abductees including 16 foreigners in a search operation conducted in Kech area of Turbat where the abducted were held. FC also arrested two suspected persons during the operation.

FC Balochistan carried out the search operation in the area and recovered the abducted 18 persons including 15 Nigerian nationals, one from Yemen and two Pakistanis. The recovered persons told that they were trying to travel Europe through Iran illegally but amidst their trip they were kidnapped.

FC also recovered cache of weapons during the search operation in the area. The recovered two Pakistanis were identified as Shuja-u-Din from Lahore and Ghulam Hussain from Karachi.

FC transported the recovered persons to Turbat and the arrested personnel are also going to be transported there for further interrogation and investigation on whether they have connections with the dead bodies recovered earlier.

DIG Abdul Razzaq Cheema and FC Sector Commander, Tassawur Sattar said to media that forces launched a door-to-door search operation in the area to arrest the militant after taking the local elders into confidence.

The banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), headed by Allah Nazar Baloch, claimed responsibility for the killings of the 15 men from Punjab, ‘supposedly’ aspiring to enter Europe illegally.
