Former NAB chief will not be spared: Imran Khan

SHEIKHUPURA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that once in power his party will not spare former National Accountability Bureau chief Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, until he meets justice and is behind bars.

The PTI chief was addre-ssing a rally in Sheikhupura, which is a part of the party’s continuing string of rallies across Punjab.

Imran claimed that the former NAB chief helped facilitate corruption cases of the government officials.

“Wherever you go we will bring you to task, you are nation’s criminal,” said Imran Khan.

Faced great difficulty in holding the rally, said Imran while lambasting Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura for the hurdles.

“Came to Sheikhupura four years ago, only had 10 percent of the current attendance,” said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief while expressing his gratitude for the huge number of participants in the rally.

Imran said that people have come to streets against the PML-N. Imran Khan reached the venue, a hockey stadium, around 4:30pm via helicopter from Lahore.

Before the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief’s speech, Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed addressed the gathering.

“Nawaz Sharif is leaving, Imran Khan is coming,” said the leader.
