MIR ALI: Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt visited North & South Waziristan Agency.
He was given detailed briefing on prevailing security environment, operational preparedness, improved border security measures & developmental work under progress in the areas. During two days long visit, Corps Commander visited Cadet College Spinkai and also interacted with tribal elders at Dar-e-Mehsud (SWA) and lauded their efforts in bringing peace and normalcy in the area.
While addressing he hailed high morale of the troops and their determination to eliminate terrorism. Commander also appreciated effective border security arrangements which have enhanced control on cross border terrorist movement. During the visit General Officer Commanding SWA, Maj Gen Nauman Zakria and General Officer Commanding, NWA Maj Gen Azhar Iqbal Abbasi accompanied the Commander in respective area of operation.
