Governor appreciates humanitarian role of PRCS

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Eng. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while appreciating the humanitarian role of Pakistan Red Crescent Society in mitigating the miseries of needy people has said that it always proved an efficient helping hand to the government in every trial ridden situation confronted by the nation.

He was talking to Mr. Muhammad Farid Khan Wazir, Chairman of the FATA Branch of the society who called on him at Governor’s House, Peshawar.  Mr. Muhammad Farid Khan was also accompanied by some of the members of the managing committee of the branch including; Mr. Gul Mahsud, Mr. Asghar Afridi and Mr. Attaullah Wazir.

While referring to the detailed briefing presented by the Chairman of the FATA Branch of the society on its working in the area, the Governor said, although their humanitarian services are quite impressive in a short span of time, since the inception of the branch, yet, he said, there is dire need to further streamline its services.  The Governor, who is also the President of the FATA Branch of the PRCS, wished that indeed, effective measures are required for its strengthening on every count and assured due support in this connection.
