HCCI expresses concern over energy issues

HYDERABAD: The Senior Vice President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Turab Ali Khoja has expressed grave concern over low pressure of natural gas being supplied by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and unannounced load shedding from HESCO in Hyderabad.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that the situation was not only badly affecting the industrial production with unemployment but the people of Hyderabad also suffering numerous domestic issues. He appealed to Managing Director and General Manager SSGC to take serious notice and resolve the issue of low pressure gas supply so that the people particularly women could take sigh of relief.

He said that reduction in line losses was the responsibility of HESCO management, but the people particularly the customers who are paying their electricity bills are suffering from anti-customers policy of the management concerned. Despite the announcement of ending the load shedding by the government, the people of Hyderabad are suffering 10 to 12 hours load shedding during winter season, he added.

He demanded the CEO HESCO to withdraw the policy of carrying out unannounced load shedding so that the people of Hyderabad could also get the fruits of uninterrupted power supply.
