Imran criticizes PML-N parliamentarian for rejecting amendment in Election Bill 2017 in NA

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Imran Khan has said that rejection of a proposed amendment in the Election Bill 2017 is shameful and it will bring shame for parliament and delivering demoralizing message to the nation.

Imran Khan said this while sharing his views on twitter after the rejection of PPP proposed Election Bill 2017 on Tuesday, in which the opposition wants to close doors for the disqualified persons to take part in the election.

Imran criticized the members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should be ashamed for giving votes against the proposed bill as they will be remembers forever for voting in favor of disqualified, corrupt person.

PML-N members showed their only aim to save the skin of Nawaz Sharif and gets appreciation from the corrupt leaders for raising voice for him and hiding his corruption, Imran added.

Imran added that moral authority is the core principal in a democracy, but the principal was negated the PML-N which “sought to place their corrupt leaders above all laws”.

The Lower House of Parliament rejected the amendment to Elections Bill 2017, which sought to restrict disqualified parliamentarians from heading a political party, after 163 members voted against the proposed change in legislation.

The leading opposition party in the National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party’s leader Naveed Qamar had earlier presented an amendment to the bill in the assembly.
