KP government dismantles class based education system: Khattak

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has criticized Nawaz Sharif for pitching one institution against another thus creating a threat to democracy. ANP, JUI (F) and PPP should come out of daydreaming for coming to power again as they deceived the people on different slogans. In the 2018 elections, PTI would stage a comeback in all four provinces but at centre as well adding that PTI adhered to its manifesto and its Chairman Imran Khan was waging a Jihad for the rights of the people, he added.

He was addressing the PTI joining gathering at Ziarat Kaka Sahib, Spin Kanni of District Nowshera. The gathering was also addressed by District Nazim Liaqat Khattak, Gohar Ali Shah Kakakhel, Saeedullah, District Councillor Kashif Turk, District General Secretary Malik Ibrar, Amjad Azam alias Quaid-e-Azam and Ashfaq Paracha. Latif Khattak, Muhammad Fahad Khattak, Imran Khan, Hidayat Khan, Shahid Khan, Subhan Ali Khan, Abdullah, Aaeen Khan, Waqas Khan, Sharafat Khan, Hamza, Sher Muhammad Khan, Uzair, Rameez Khan, Farhan Khan, Taufeeq Khan, Faisal Khan, Alamgir, Haseeb Khan along with dozens of companions announced quitting ANP and joined PTI at the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister welcomed the new comers to the fold of PTI and added that yesterday, in Buner public gathering, ex MPA Jamshed Khan and some other political stalwarts joined PTI which he added was a continuation of the wave of joining PTI in every nook and corner of the province.

Pervez Khattak also inaugurated different developmental schemes including suigas extension to Spin Kanni, Muhallah Salam Sar and Sparay areas. He said that the mass scale joining of PTI by ANP workers was a manifestation of the growing reality that PTI was fulfilling the promises made with the people.

The people are fully aware of the changing reality that PTI was actually a force of the youth. The youth, he added, was an asset of PTI adding that the Chairman of PTI Imran Khan had a continuous Jihad against corruption that resulted into the disqualification of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. His struggle started the accountability of the ruling elite, he added. He said that he did not believe in empty slogans that he proved through his actions. He said that his government performance attracted the mass scale joining of PTI by the political workers of different political parties.

Chief Minister said that normally towards the completion of government’s tenure, people start switching their loyalties but in the case of PTI its graph was on constant increase and therefore he was legitimate in saying that PTI has changed the course of history in the political arena of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Pervez Khattak reminded the audience, his government dismantled the class based education system that reduced the otherwise yawning gap between rich and poor. Now the poor enjoyed education in English in order to be in the field to compete in an open playing field with the rich. He talked about the reforms in education and other public sector institutions making them apolitical. It eliminated politics on teachers, Patwar, police and doctors and strengthened the system of service delivery, he added.

Pervez Khattak said that the province had for the first time a uniform developmental strategy with focus on poor as per advice of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. The major chunk of resources was being spent on the welfare of poor, he added. He said that 14 lac families have been given Sehat Insaf Cards and another 10 lac families would have the same facilities this year that would address to the health related problems of poor and they would get upto Rs. 5 lac free healthcare facilities, he added. He said his government was providing urea and seed on subsidized rates to the farmers.

Chief Minister assured that the employees, doctors, teachers, paramedics etc recruited through NTS and EATA would be regularized soon. He lamented that the previous rulers and their rules were exploitative in nature and they looted the resources. He reminded that the previous rulers vociferously talked against corruption but did record corruption and still they wished to face the people and deceive them again. Such elements should be taken to task on their misdeeds.

However, his government legislated Nazira and Quran along with translation compulsory in the schooling system and declared usury and jahez as illegal, he added.
