PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed rates for sugar beet and sugar cane for farmers that the managements of seven sugar mills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Food Department of KP said the sugar mills shall pay Rs 175 the minimum support price of sugar beet per 40 Kg at the factory gate and Rs 175 per 40 kg excluding transportation charges at the farmer’s fields as fixed by the Government.
The sugar mills included Khazana Sugar Mills Peshawar, Premier Sugar Mills Mardan, Bannu Sugar Mills Serai Naurang, Al-Moiz Suger Mills D.I.Khan, Tandlainwala Sugar Mills DIKhan, Chashma Sugar Mills D.I.Khan and Chashma (Expansion) Mills DIKhan. The Government further directed sugar mills to pay Rs 180 the minimum support price of sugar cane per 40 Kg at the factory gate and Rs 180 per 40 Kg excluding transportation charges at the farmers’ fields as fixed by the Government.
