At least 226 died in Mexico earthquake

MEXICO CITY: At least 226 persons died and hundreds are still missing as the rescue workers try to safely recover the people from the rubble after 7.1 earth quake hit Mexico City.

The interior ministry has confirmed that so far 226 people have died in the earth quake so far but this number may increase because there are large number of people which are still missing.
More than fourth buildings have collapsed in Mexico City and rescue workers through out the night searched the rubbles to find the injured and the dead.
Secretary Education told the media that more than two hundred schools have also been destroyed in the earth quake. More than eleven after shocks have also been reported in the city

More than 11 aftershocks have been registered so far with the strongest magnitude of 4.
