LHC dismisses petition against PML-N candidate for NA-120

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed petition against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Kulsoom Nawaz and allow her to contest in the NA-120 by-election.

Justice Aminuddin Khan headed the three member’s judge’s bench of LHC and the other two includes Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi and Justice Shahid Jamil Khan.

PML-N Senator Asif Kirmani said on the occasion that all the opponents were failed to provide any evidence against the Kulsoom Nawaz and the court has given decision in favor of PML-N.

The petition was filed by Pakistan Peoples Party’s NA-120 candidate Faisal Mir, Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmad Chaudhry and Milli Muslim League’s Nabeel Shahzad against the decisions of the NA-120 returning officer and the election tribunal which had rejected objections against her nomination papers.
