Minorities’ issues to be resolved: DC

BANNU: Deputy Commissioner Bannu, Muhammad Ali Asghar on Sunday said that issues relating to minorities would be resolved on priority basis after hearing grievances of minorities communities.

He said in connection with conducing Kolli Kachehri first time for minorities residing in various parts of Bannu district to hear their grievances. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner directed all relevant departments to solve minorities issues on immediate effect.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kamran Khan, Assistant Comm-issioner Sher Khan while priest Shakeel Jan from Christian and Rakish Azeem from Hindu community also attended the occasion.

Representatives of minorities apprised DC with regard to their problems including water and quota system in education system and asked for facilitating them in this regard. Later, Deputy Commissioner ensured that all of their issues would be solved on priority basis and all resources would be utilized for forthwith solution of their problems.

He on the spot issued direction to relevant departments to prioritize resolving problems of minorities.

 

It is worth mentioning here that Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had earlier directed all Deputy Commissioners to conduct Kolli Kachehri in their respective districts for redressal of masses grievances.
