No load shedding of sui gas in KP: GM SNGPL

PESHAWAR: General Manager SNGPL Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arbab Saqib Thursday said that there is no load shedding of sui gas in the province and the slight decrease reported in production of gas is due to some operational and technical reasons.

Talking to media persons at his office, he said that operation in MOL Oil and Gas and Naspha Oil Field has also affected sui gar supply system. Denying rumors regarding gas load shedding in KP, he said that consumption of sui gas has been increased and E&P companies have launched emergency-operation to meet gas demand.

He informed that SNGPL workers shifts pipe lines after 10:00 PM owing to ongoing work on Bus Rapid Transport project reducing the gas pressure to avoid any mishap. He warned that some consumers use compressing equipments to increase gas pressure that is not only dangerous but also results in suspension of gas supply in adjoining areas.

Arbab Saqib said that availability and supply to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers have been improved which is a proof that SNGPL is working on a result oriented plan in greater interests of people.

He said that 12 inch pipeline from Tarnab- Shama Intersection- Hataybabad is being laid adding work on reach 3 has been completed.

GM informed that said that 8 inch pipe line from Darra Adam Khel Akurwal- Hayatabad has been approved and work on the project would be started very soon. He said that work on 111 kilometer transmission line to Swat is underway and 60 percent work has also been completed.

He said that officials and workers of SNGPL are working round the clock to address the problems confronted by consumers.
