KARACHI: Pakistan cricket team have climbed up to the top slot in the ICC T20I team rankings, after India defeated New Zealand by 53-runs in Delhi on Wednesday.
Supporters of Pakistan teams would be hoping that India win the series at least with a margin of 2-1 to confirm Pakistan’s top position in the ICC T20 ranking.
Green for the first time ever reached the top of the T20I team rankings.
Pakistan has won 12 out 14 T20Is since the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain of the Pakistan side in the shortest format. Pakistan was only a few points behind New Zealand following its white-wash against Sri Lanka.
New Zealand lose three rating points after India winning the first match of the series in Delhi which confirmed Pakistan as number one team.
