Pakistan to submit reply to ICJ today

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s legal team after holding consultation with all departments concerned—has compiled a detailed reply in response to India’s stance submitted with International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The reply will be submitted to ICJ on Dec-13 in Hague.

Pakistan’s response will be based on the Vienna Convention and country’s ambassador in Holland will submit reply. Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf Ali is overseeing the high-profile case on behalf of Pakistan’s government.

The detailed reply will cover all aspects including concrete evidence of Indian naval officer and in-service Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Jadhav’s confession of involvement in terror-related activities and rejection of India’s stance submitted with the ICJ.

In its reply, Pakistan would apprise that International Court of Justice (ICJ) does not hold jurisdiction to hear the case of a terrorist.

After submission of Pakistani reply, International Court of Justice (ICJ) would review stance of both countries and would fix the date for hearing. Pakistani legal team seems hopeful that their stance would be accepted by the ICJ.
