Pervez Khattak to visit Swabi today

SWABI: A huge project of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) near Indus River would be inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak during his visit to the district on Tuesday, (today), said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Monday. PTI leaders said that the Chief Minister was expected to be accompanies Asad Qaisar, KP assembly speaker, provincial health minister, Shahram Khan Tarakai and other distinguished leader.

Anwar Haqdad said that the total cost of the project would be Rs 8.00 billion and the area situated at Nabi villager, a region of Tehsil Chota Lahor. Leaders of the ruling party said that the project was expected to be completed during the next government but the PTI leaders said that credit goes to them for starting a huge project but on other hand the leaders who dominated the district politics for decades had utterly failed to initiate such project.

There were projects within this project, they said, adding that a PAF college, PAF School, 300 bed hospital, technical education centre, handicraft centre for women, a school for special children, community centre and a huge park at the edge of Indus River would be constructed by the government. A total 1000 land has already been acquired for the project by the government and all the other initial requirements have been fulfilled.

PTI leaders said that with the completion of PAF project this far-flung area would be converted the area into one of the attractive regions in the district. Later, the Chief Minister was scheduled to address a public gathering at Tand Koi village. Earlier, the Chief Minister had visited the district on Feb 2 when he inaugurated construction work on Bada Dam and addressed a public meeting at Maini.
