PTI wasted four years in negative politics: Hoti

F.P. Report

MARDAN: Provincial President of Awami National Party (ANP), Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government for gearing up to launch different developmental projects and schemes in parts of the province at last days of its tenure.

He was addressing activists of Awami National Party at a public meeting held at the Baghdada locality. On the occasion, several workers and local leaders of other political announced to join ANP and expressed its confidence in its leadership.

Hoti blamed that the incumbent PTI provincial government had become active after four and half years of its tenure of power and were inaugurating developing schemes including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), flyovers and other projects in different parts of KP.

He alleged that the PTI leadership failed to fulfill its promise of change and eradication of corruption from government institutions. He said that the PTI chief Imran Khan had been blaming leadership of Awami National Party for corruption and irregularities but the PTI provincial ministers and lawmakers themselves were blaming each other for corruption and embezzlement.

Mr. Hoti claimed that his brother, who was arrested on charges of corruption, had been set free by the relevant court as no charges could be proved against him and he was declared as innocent by the court.

”They have taken up the issue of mosques and religious-seminaries’ fund when the PTI provincial government has failed to find any case of corruption against me,” he added.

He went on to say that people of KP province had fed-up with the PTI-provincial government for not resolving their issues and problems.

The ex-Chief Minister claimed that Awami National Party had regained its popularity and would get majority seats to come in power in the next general election of 2018.

He blamed that Mr. Pervaz Khan Khattak was puppet chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and all matters and affairs of the province had been controlling and dealing from Bani-Gala, residence of PTI chief Imran Khan, in Islamabad.

”The PTI provincial government has taken lots of foreign loans on the name of launching developmental projects which will create more hurdles and difficulties for coming governments in the province,” he feared.

He also blamed that the PTI government had stopped work on the under-construction developmental schemes launched by the ANP previous government during its tenure.

He, however, vowed that they would not only restart those stopped under-construction projects but would also provide funds to developmental schemes launched by the PTI provincial government if people of the province voted them to power.

He also claimed that it was only the ANP which could serve and protect rights of Pakhtun nation.
