Qureshi criticizes Fazl, Achakzai for opposing merger of FATA into KP

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly criticized Mualana Fazlur Rehman and Mehmood Khan Achakzai for creating hurdles in merger of FATA in Khyber Pakhthunkwa province.

Qureshi said to media persons outside the National Assembly session on Wednesday. Qureshi said that chief Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Mahmood Achakzai and JUI-F chief Mualana Fazalur Rehman were the main hurdles in merging FATA in to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite that all the parties were agreed and demanding the tribal belt into KP as it was the logical and only solution for mainstreaming the tribal belt.

No one understands the logic of these two leaders for opposing the merger and adding that at least both these two leaders need to understand the stance and voice of tribal people and other political leaders for the development of the FATA, Qureshi added.

He also lashed out the ruling PML-N party for doing hypocrisy over the issue and despite that they given approval of the merger of FATA in KP. Some forces wanted to maintain the status quo, he added.
