Rs 400m approved for Timergara city

TIMERGARA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for finance Muzafar Syed has said the establishment of the Timergara Medical College would boost education in the area classes in which would start from next session.

Addressing a function arranged by the Jamaat-i-Islami Rabat at Rash-khani Siar Darra here on Saturday the minister said that Rs 400 million had been approved for the beautification of Timergara city. He said the project included construction of link roads, street pavement, installation of street lights, widening of the existing roads and beautification of squares.

The vice president of Pakistan Tehrek Insaf Khungi council Humayun Khan, Amanullah, Aman e Room, Umar Sadiq, Muhammad Wazir, Surbiland Khan and others announced to join the Jamaat-i-Islami along with their families and friends. The function was also addressed by JI Siar emir Qari Munawar Said, Dr Muhibullah, Bakhtawar Said and others.

The minister said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had ensured good governance, discouraged corruption and established the rule of law and merit in the province. He said thousands of youth were recruited purely on merit in different government departments. The minister said that government schools in Lower were provided with Rs 580 million during the last three years for missing facilities. He said that staff shortage in schools and hospitals had been overcome which had improved service delivery in the sector of education and health. The minister also announced construction of Rash-khani road and provision of power transformer to the village.
