Speakers stress unity among Muslim ranks

SWABI: Speakers in Panjpir Ijtema said on Saturday keeping mind the confronting challenges to the Muslim Countries there was an urgent need of unity in their ranks to foil the anti-Muslim states who forged complete harmony and were economically very strong.

They were speaking on the second day of ijtema organized by Ishaat Wa Tauheed Wal Sunnah (IWTWS). The gathering was started on Friday. It was unique congregation that the workers of IWTWS have gathered at Panjpir from across the country, setting camps for hearing the religious scholars who expressed their views in different sessions about the religious issues and problems face by the Muslim World.

Media persons, intellectuals, leaders ofd political parties also participated in the ijtema. Major ® Muhammad Aamir was also presented on the occasion. Maulana Samiul Haq, chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Sami) said that the Hindu, Christians and Jews had joined hands and devised behind the scene plans to hurt the Muslims and harm our pious religion. He said that it was really great dilemma that some of the religious figures work according to the global agenda of these powers while remaining in the camps of the Muslims and damaging them and their unity. The infidels he said always created traitors among the Muslims and achieved their nefarious designs through them at different periods. “We should identify such people and throw them out from our camps,” he said. “This is the time to come hard on these people because there were not only enemy of the people but foe of Islam.”

Maulana Sami criticized the Muslim leaders who toed the policy line of US and its allies at the cost of their own people and worked only for protecting their own saddle. The people are anti-US but the leaders are pro-US, he said. Asad Qaisar, speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government had taken several steps for the Islamization while counting the measures took by PTI-led government.

He said that reforms had been introduced in the curriculum and religious education and learning of the Holy Quran was made compulsory in the public and private sector schools. “We work for more reforms,” he said. Maulana Muhammad Tayyab, central Chief of IWTWS said that some leaders devised plan to get votes from the people during election on the name of Islam and then part of the government, forgetting the people completely. These people had remained in government during Gen Ziaul Haq regime and later were part of government of Benazir Bhutto, Gen Pervez Musharraf, President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government. However, he did not elaborate that who were these leaders but said that these leaders have enjoyed comfortable life, going usually on Europe sojourn and targeted other while representing themselves as Maulana and using the same for their personal interests. “We plunged to the field to shot down the business of these leaders. We wanted eradication of every evil from the society through religious preaching and unity,” he said.

Maunala Tayyab said that from the platform on the ijtema they would pledge that they would confront the great challenges with great determination while gathering on a signal platform at Panjpir. Dua (pray) is one of the important parts of the Panjpir Ijtema and every person in the district wants to be a part of it. People try their best to participate in the final Dua, an emotional and heart touching movement.
