Sri Lanka opt to bat against Pakistan in Dubai Test

F.P. Report

DUBAI: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first in the day-night Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Friday.

The narrow win gives Sri Lanka a unique chance for a series win over Pakistan at UAE, where Pakistan have won five and drawn four series in the UAE since the 2009.

Sri Lankan Captain, Dinesh Chandimal said Pakistani batsmen were struggling against Herath and we are hopeful that Herath will be prove a good asset in the Dubai test.

Pakistan are without seamer Hasan Ali, who has a side strain, and has been replaced by left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz.
