T10 cricket league: PCB stops Inzamam from buying franchise

F.P. Report

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stopped the Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq from buying any franchise in the T10 cricket league in Sharjah which was announced recently and will be played in Sharjah.

While talking to media persons on the issue, Inzamam said that he has no share in any of the six franchises in the T10 Sharjah league but this brother Intizar-ul-Haq has share in one of the franchise, he added.

Inzamam added that he is fully aware of the PCB rules and I am not doing anything against the board policies and the media claimed regarding the issue is totally wrong.

PCB allowed the chief selector to act as a mentor for any of the teams in the tournament.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi said that the ICC has neither approved nor rejected T10 league which will be played in UAE and the UAE cricket board has interest in the T10 league and wants to launch its own local cricket tournament.  Sethi added that PCB has made it clear to them that no such plan should be introduced against our own interests.

On the other hand, the organizers of a T10 cricket tournament in Sharjah have claimed that the PCB has released its top players for the league which is scheduled in December.
