Three players of Blue Whale arrested

LAHORE: Cyber crime circle of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three accused from Hakim chowk area of Johar Town for allegedly playing ‘Blue Whale’ game.

Three accused has been taken into custody and investigation has been launched.

In-charge Cyber crime circle, Deputy Director Shahid Hussain told Online international institutes tipped off to FIA as Interpol Washington (USA) reported that trend of playing blue whale and suicide has been observed in youngsters of Johar town area.

FIA raided on information received from international channels and arrested three students Suleman Shehzad, Hasnain and Usman Ali.

During the investigations, Suleman Shehzad confessed that they are friends and Hasnain challenged them that he can untie the knots even if they tie his hands stiffly.

Shahid Hussain further added that these kind of dangerous sports set trend of suicide and this kind of lethal sports have already been surfaced on social media and youngsters are playing them at the cost of their lives.

Deputy Director told that no any case will be registered against the nabbed as they were called for investigations only and they would be asked about their other friends playing this fatal game.

He advised parents to have a close eye on their children’s activities, adding masses are unaware about cyber crime laws so a lot of work has to done in this domain.

“These boys posted on internet and FBI traced their home addresses in Lahore, those who think that nobody is observing them on internet are living in paradise of fools,” Deputy director Cyber Crimes added.
