UK defense secretary resigns over sexual harassment allegations

LONDON: British Defense Secretary, Michael Fallon resigned from his post on Wednesday after sexual harassment allegations was leveled against him and he is the first politician to step down in a developing scandal at Westminster.

Michael Fallon resigned and wrote a letter to Prime Minister Theresa May and said that several allegations have surfaced about the MPs in recent including my past life and my conducts in the past, many of them were false. He added that I accepted that in the past I have fallen below the standards which we required to maintain the honor of the forces.

Fallon added that I am resigning from my positions and will continue to serve as a member of parliament.

Earlier, Fallon apologized when he put his hand on the journalist knee in 2002, but he was not being investigated over the incident.

PM May responded to Fallon resignation that he has impressive ministerial career and appreciated the characteristically serious manner and resigned from the post after surfacing allegations against him and set a example for other people.
