LAHORE: Young Doctors Association (YDA) announced to end the strike and boycotting their duties in hospital after successful negotiations with government of Punjab.
YDA continued their strike for consecutive 15 days and they boycotted their duties in government hospitals across Punjab and demand to fulfill their requirements. Young doctors of the province are likely to resume their duties at hospitals from today (Tuesday).
The 15 days strike causes serious problems to the patients of the province as the dearth of doctors in OPD and indoor created problems to the them in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan.
YDA was demanding of the removal of secretary health and cancellation of the centralized Induction Policy (CIP) introduced by the said secretary health. Provincial Minister for Specialized Heathcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique invited the YDA office bearers for negotiation which have been successful.
