Zainab’s murderer will soon be caught, assures Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE: Interior minister Ahsan Iqbal has claimed on Sunday that the law enforcers would soon catch culprit in Kasur rape case and that lawmakers should not misuse the incident for political gains.

While addressing the media in Lahore, Iqbal said that the government is utilizing all resources required to catch the culprit who raped and murdered seven-year-old minor girl in Kasur last week.

Reacting to Indian army chief’s statement, the interior minister said that the statement is irresponsible which raises questions about nuclear capabilities of India and makes inclusion of India in Nuclear Supplies Group dubious.

The federal minister criticised political opponents of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) duirng the media interaction today.

Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Iqbal said that ‘an inexperienced driver cannot drive a car to its destination’ which is why he should no longer be discussed.

The federal minister said that Imran Khan has become a part of the history.

He said that during the tenure of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), corruption cases worth billions used to surface whereas in PML-N’s current tenure, development projects worth billions are being completed.
