0.3m people may attend three-day congregational

MARDAN: More than 0.3 million people are expected to attend three-day congregational (Ijtima) scheduled to be held from October 27 to 29 of the current month in Punjpeer area of district Swabi.

Speaking at a press conference held in Mardan Press Club here on Tuesday, District Ameer ( Mardan Chapter) of Jamaat Ishaat Atuheed-o-Sunah Moulana Noor Wahid, general secretary Hazir Karam and other officer bearers said the Ijtima was meant to remove un-Islamic culture and tradition from people’s livings as well as to boost unity among

countrymen.

They said that Jamaat Ishaat Atuheed-o-Sunah led by Alama Muhammad Tayyab Tahiri had arranged the Ijtima which was held yearly for the last fifteen years. They said that Pakistan was a gift from God where Muslims had easily been spending their lives as per the values and teaching of region of Islam. They, however, blamed that non-Mulims countries had been hatching conspiracies to spread un-Islamic way of life in the country, adding, on the other hand, their Jamaat had been struggling to foil all those conspiracies and plans of enemies of Islam and Muslims.

They claimed that central Ameer of Jamaat-i-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq, chief of Jamiat Uelam-i-Islam(s) Moulana Sami-ul-Haq and other key religious and political leaders would attend the said Ijtima. They said that people from different parts of the country would come to the Ijtima in shape of various carvaans for which they had completed all arrangements of

transportation.

They, however, appealed people of the country to make sure their maximum participation in the said Ijtima so that to spread the teaching of Quran and Islam to door to door and foil plans and conspiracies of non-Muslim powers against Muslims and their religion.
