10 terrorists killed in Tank, S Waziristan

TANK: Khwarij attempted to attack a Security Forces post in general area Jandola, on the seam of South Waziristan and Tank Districts.

The attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by own troops, which forced the khwarij to ram an explosive laden vehicle into the perimeter wall.

Own troops fought bravely, effectively engaged the assailant and after an intense fire exchange all ten khwarij including a suicide bomber were sent to hell, outside the perimeter wall of the post. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday appreciated the officers and personnel of security forces for foiling attack of terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij on their check post in Jandola, Tank. He lauds the professional capabilities of officers and personnel of security forces for eliminating 10 Khawarij including a suicide bomber who unsuccessfully tried to attack the post.

The prime minister said the government would continue to foil designs of the terrorists who were ying to create unrest in the country. He said the war against menace of terrorism would continue till its complete elimination from the country. The prime minister said the whole nation stood with the armed forces of Pakistan in their determination to wipe out terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari Thursday lauded the security forces for repulsing the attack of Khawarij on their check post in Jandola. He appreciated the security forces for eliminating 10 Khawarij during the operation. He said the brave armed forces were carrying out successful operations for eradicating Fitna al-Khawarij. The President expressed determination to continue operations till complete elimination of terrorism. He said the whole nation stood with the security forces in the war against terrorism.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday praised the security forces for their swift action in thwarting an attack on the Jandola FC fort in Tank.

Expressing his pride in the brave soldiers, Governor Kundi said that their courage and dedication are commendable. He emphasized that those targeting innocent people and the state are backed by anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan forces. He further affirmed that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with the Pakistan Armed Forces, acting as a united front in the defense of their homeland.
