106 New coronavirus cases in Afghanistan, total 1,281

KABUL (TOLO News): 106 new positive coronavirus cases have been reported in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, said Public Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz, bringing the total to 1,281.

106 new positive coronavirus cases were reported in Afghanistan over the last 24 hours—in Herat (21), Kunduz (15), Kabul (6), Logar (4), Panjshir (2), Kandahar (53), Paktia (3), Takhar (1) and Jawzjan (10), Nimroz (5), Herat (3), Ghazni (2), Kapisa (4), Nangarhar (6), Kunar (3) and Parwan (1)–according to the Ministry of Public Health.

So far 42 people have died due to the coronavirus and 180 others have recovered, according to the Health Ministry.

The number of deaths from the COVID-19 disease globally is more than 183,454, and more than 2.6 million have been infected with the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
