11 Afghan soldiers killed, more than 16 injured in Military Academy attack

KABUL: Spokesman of Kabul Police, Basir Mujahid has said that at least 11 soldiers were killed and more than 16 others were injured after the militants attacked the Marshal Fahim Military University in Kabul early Monday morning.

Similarly, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense Dawlat Waziri told Afghan media that two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the gate and two were killed in clashes with the forces and the fifth one was arrested by the Afghan forces.

The clashes between the security forces and militants were lasted for five hours after a group of five gunmen attacked the military academy.

This is just one more in a string of attacks in the country in the past nine days – including two other deadly attacks in Kabul.
