11 members of Tablighi Jammat diagnosed with coronavirus

ISLAMABAD: The thirteen members Tablighi Jam-mat preachers who recently arrived in Kot Hathyal, Bhara Kahu area of the federal Capital Islamabad, 11 of them diagnosed with the past-spreading Corona virus (COVID19) on Monday ASP Bhara Kahu police station confirmed to The Frontier Post.

Following the diagnosing of the virus the city administration through a notification announced that the authorities have imposed full restrictions on movement in the Kot Hathyal area and no one are allowed to move from their houses till further directions of the administration.

The police official added that among the 11 members of the Tablighi Jammat one  of them is from Kirgizstan who is already under treatment in hospital adding that police and health teams arrived on the spot and lockdown the whole premises of the Kot Hathyal area including the mosque where they were staying.

The police official added that teams of health ministry and NIH arrived and they are doing screenings of the villagers because they regularly visited the mosque as well the preachers roamed in the village now the health experts will conclude how many villagers are affected of the fast-spreading virus.

When contacted an official of the city administration, endorsed the news and added that the whole area cordoned off by police and t-he village converted into quarantine to minimize risk.
