12 outlaws held with arms, drugs in provincial capital
PESHAWAR: The police arrested 12 outlaws including drug pushers and gamblers during separate actions recovered arms and drugs during separate actions in the provincial capital on Sunday.
On a tip-off regarding drugs smuggling to Punjab, the police team headed by DSP Garanullah Khan and comprising SHO Sarband Saleem Khan Khalil and ASI Shamas-ul-Haq during snap checking of vehicles at Ring Road stopped a Punjab bound suspected car.
During search of the car, 13 kilogram hashish and 500 gram opium was recovered from secret cavities of the vehicle and two drug pushers including Feroz Amjad and Muhammad Latif, both hailing from Faisalabad were arrested.
Under the supervision of SP Rural Tahir Dawar, the team comprising DSP Chamkani Haider Ali, SHO Yousaf Khan and cops during separate actions in Chamkani arrested five outlaws identified as Shamsher Ali, Roughan Sher, Ziarat Gul, Muhammad Zahoor and Ibrahim Shah.
The police recovered three pistols and five kilogram hashish from possession of the detainees.
During a raid on gambling den in Afghan Colony in Faqirabad police station jurisdiction, five gamblers including Zabiullah, Bakhtiar, Rehmanuddin, Selman and Khan Sher were arrested with thousands of rupees cash and gambling material.
The recovered weapons, drugs, cash and gambling material was taken into custody and the police after registering separate cases against the detainees at concerned police stations have started the investigation.
