12 Taliban fighters killed in airstrikes on heroin in Helmand

HELMAND: As many as twelve militants were killed during the airstrikes conducted by Afghan Air Force on heroin labs and clashes between the Afghan force and the Taliban fighters in Helmand province of Afghanistan.

The provincial government official told local media that the airstrikes were carried out on heroin labs in Gandom Rez area of Kajaki district and three heroin labs were destroyed in the airstrikes.

Meanwhile, the clashes were continue in different parts of the province and the officials said that four Taliban fighters were killed and three others were injured in Greshk district bazaar.

The officials added that direct clashes in different parts were still continue and a dozen of Taliban fighters killed and several others were injured in it.

Prominent Taliban commander identified as Qari Fida Mohammad was among several killed and he was involved in killing of several cases, official added.
