WANA: General Officers Commanding (GOC), South Waziristan, Major General Noman Zakria has said that 15 teams have been constituted to remove Improvised Explosive Device (IED) laid by militants in different areas of South Waziristan Agency (SWA).
Talking to media at his office, the GOC said 15 teams, consisting army personnel, were constituted to remove IEDs. He said 49 army men have been injured in the demining process.
He said 30 civilians injured by IEDs, were being treated by Pakistan Army. He said civilians who were martyred and injuries by IEDs, would be compensated and those who lost their limbs will be provided artificial limbs.
He said that concerned Army officials can be informed regarding IED on 0965212847 anytime.
The GOC said the check posts situated in residential areas would be removed while number of check posts in the Agency would be decreased.
He said public call offices would be established on priority bases for communication with other areas of the country.
The GOC said diversion in front of Cadet College Spinkai Raghzai would be constructed properly and said road will be open for patients.
Noman Zakria said work on minerals would be started soon in Mehsud areas under public partnership that would usher the area into new phase of development.
