ISLAMABAD: The number of pending cases in Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reached to 16,244, says a document available with The Frontier Post. It said that only 40 cases were disposed off among 1874 cases during the running year, which were lying pending since 2012 in IHC.
It further said that numbers of pending cases were increasing gradually in IHC. It further said that cases registered on political grounds witnessed a sharp upward trend, which was causing to waste precious time of the court and main hurdle in provision of justice. The document said that total numbers of 15074 cases from January 02, 2012 to November 30, 2017 were sent to IHC while only 726 cases were disposed off among 16, 244 cases while 16, 180 are still pending with the IHC.
