17 Taliban dead in Khost, Helmand and Nangarhar

KABUL: Multiple airstrikes were carried out against Taliban militants in Helmand, Nangarhar and Khost province killing at least 17 Taliban militants.

Informed military sources said Tuesday that three separate airstrikes were carried out in Sangin and Kajaki districts of Helmand.

The sources further added the airstrikes killed 6 militants in Sangin and 3 others in Kajaki district where a motorcycle was also destroyed.

A similar airstrike was carried out in Deh Bala district of Nangarhar killing 3 Taliban fighters, the sources said, adding that the 203rd Corps also conducted an airstrike in Sabari district of Khost killing 5 Taliban fighters.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.(Khaama Press)
