18 Taliban gunmen killed, 33 injured in Baghlan clashes

BAGHLAN: Provincial Police Chief of Baghlan, Ikram-u-Din Sare confirmed that at least 18 Taliban gunmen were killed on Sunday in clashes in northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan.

Sare added that 33 others were killed injured in the clashes and adding that the clashes started on Saturday after Taliban gunmen attacked security check posts in different parts of the province.

Sare added that the clashes lasted for hours.

According to Afghan media, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
